Two late second-period goals has given 16th-ranked Quinnipiac a 2-0 lead over No. 8 Union after 40 minutes of play in their ECAC Hockey contest Friday at Messa Rink.
Jeremy Langlois scored on a wrister from the slot with 4:39 left in the period. He took a pass from Loren Barron, who skated past a flat-footed David Roy, and beat goalie Troy Grosenick past his right skate.
Travis St. Denis scored off of a rebound with 2:35 to go. Grosenick made a stop on a Langlois deflection of a Zach Davies shot. The puck was loose, and St. Denis lifted it over Grosenick's right shoulder.
Quinnipiac outshot Union, 15-5, in the second.
