Union slips from seventh to eighth in USCHO.com/NCAA hockey poll (updates)

Union, which was idle over the weekend, slipped from seventh to eighth in the USCHO.com/NCAA top-20 college hockey poll Monday.

The Dutchmen (6-2-1), the top-ranked ECAC Hockey team in the poll, return to action this weekend when they host Penn State at 7 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday.

Four other ECAC Hockey teams are in the poll. Dartmouth is 11th, Cornell is 13th, Harvard is 17th and Quinnipiac is 18th.

Union remained eighth in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll.
