RPI's Bailen nominated for Lowe's Senior CLASS Award
RPI defenseman Nick Bailen is one of four ECAC Hockey players, and 20 college hockey players overall, to be nominated for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award on Wednesday.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
Besides Bailen, the other ECACH players nominated are Cornell defenseman Nick D'Agostino, Harvard defenseman Danny Biega and St. Lawrence forward Kyle Flanagan.
The other nominees are Brett Beebe, (Western Michigan), Kyle Bonis, (Ferris State), Stephen Carew, (Air Force), Alex Gerke (Connecticut), Ben Hanowski (St. Cloud State), Connor Hardowa (New Hampshire), Seth Helgeson (Minnesota),
Adam Henderson (Alaska), Brendan Jamison (Robert Morris), Mike Johnson (Notre Dame), Dan Koudys (Bentley), Ryan Little (Wisconsin), Mark Nemec (Maine), Brandon Nunn (Holy Cross), Cheyne Rocha (Army) and Steven Spinell (Miami-Ohio).
The winner will be announced during the NCAA Frozen Four April 11-13 in Pittsburgh.
