Stevens starts; Bennett, Forgaard in Union lineup

There are a few changes to the Union lineup for tonight's ECAC Hockey first-place showdown with Dartmouth at 7 at Thompson Arena.

The first change is that Niskayuna native Colin Stevens starts in goal. Stevens replaced Troy Grosenick early in the second period of Friday' 6-2 win over Harvard after Grosenick suffered a leg injury.

Stevens is no stranger to playing the Big Green at Thompson. He started last Feb. 10 while Grosenick was recovering from a left-ankle injury. Stevens made 26 saves in Union's 5-1 win.

Dillon Pieri, who was not at the Harvard game, traveled to Dartmouth and will back up Stevens. Grosenick isn't dressing.

There are two other changes. Despite scoring his first career collegiate goal, sophomore Charlie Vasaturo is scratched. Senior Ryan Forgaard replaces him.

Center Mark Bennett replaces David Roy on the third line.

Here is the Union lineup, starting with the forwards (LW-C-RW):
Daniel Ciampini/Kyle Bodie/Wayne Simpson
Daniel Carr/Josh Jooris/Nick Cruice
Cole Ikkala/Mark Bennett/Kevin Sullivan
Matt Wilkins/Max Novak/Matt Match

The defensive pairings are:
Greg Coburn/Shayne Gostisbehere
Shawn Stuart/Sebastien Gingras
Tim Boyle/Ryan Forgaard

Both teams are 3-0 in league play. Dartmouth blanked RPI, 4-0, Friday.

Unfortunately, I won't be at the game. However, I will provide updates on Twitter @slapschotts.
