Sportscaster Morlock leaving FOX23
FOX23 (WXXA) sportscaster Scott Morlock is leaving the station. His last day on the air will be on Sunday night for "FOX Fast Track."
Morlock has been with the station for nearly 16 years, starting as an intern. He worked his way up to weekend sports anchor, and he was the anchor of "FOX Fast Track."
Morlock was a candidate for the sports director position and weekday sports anchor of the FOX 23 newscasts when Rich Becker left at the end of March, but the station hired Kristian Read from FOX44 in Burlington, Vt., to be the sports director.
"I was looking forward to continuing what [former FOX23 weekend anchor] Brent [Martineau], Rich and I established there," Morlock said Wednesday. "But the station decided to go in a different direction.
"It's disappointing. I love what I'm doing. It was obvious the station wanted to go in a different direction, and I wasn't part of that direction. My contract's up, and I'm leaving."

I'll miss Roger! I don't like the guy they did hire; he's to meek and mild...
