Union falls again in hockey polls (update)

Monday, December 10, 2012

For the second straight week, Union dropped in the college hockey polls.

The Dutchmen (3-2-3 ECAC Hockey, 8-3-4 overall), fell from 12th to 14th in the USCHO.com/NCAA top-20 poll. They had leads against Brown on Friday and Yale on Saturday, but settled for ties in both games.

Five other ECAC Hockey teams are in the USCHO poll. Quinnipiac is ninth, Dartmouth is 10th, Cornell is 12th, Yale is 15th and Harvard is 18th. It's surprising to me that Yale remained 15th, despite suffering a 6-1 home-ice loss to RPI on Friday.

Union dropped from 12th to 13th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll.
