Grosenick in goal tonight as Union faces Brown

By Ken Schott
Friday, December 7, 2012

Troy Grosenick gets the start in goal tonight at 7 as 12th-ranked Union faces Brown in an ECAC Hockey game at Meehan Auditorium.

Grosenick didn't start last Saturday's game against Princeton, but replaced relief of Niskayuna native Colin Stevens, who gave up four goals on 18 shots, midway through the second period.

David Roy replaces the injured Mark Bennett at center. Left winger Matt Hatch returns to the lineup after being a healthy scratch last Saturday. He replaces Matt Wilkins. Also, defenseman Ryan Forgaard is back in the lineup, replacing Charlie Vasaturo.

Here is the Union lineup, starting with the forwards (LW/C/RW):
Daniel Ciampini/Kyle Bodie/Wayne Simpson
Matt Hatch/Josh Jooris/Daniel Carr
Kevin Sullivan/Max Novak/Nick Cruice
Theo DiPauli/David Roy/Sam Coatta

The defensive pairings are:
Greg Coburn/Shayne Gostisbehere
Mat Bodie/Shawn Stuart
Ryan Forgaard/Tim Boyle

Unfortunately, I won't be at the game. I will try and have updates on Twitter @slapschotts.
