Notre Dame to Hockey East; NBC Sports Network to televise Irish home games

The announcement of Notre Dame joining Hockey East starting in 2013-14 has been made official.

Also announced is that NBC Sports Network will televise Notre Dame home games beginning at the same time.

NBC Sports Network is currently known as Versus. The sports channel will change its name to NBC Sports Network on Jan. 2.

NBC Sports Network is also expected to televise college hockey regular-season games, most likely starting in January.
