BU-Cornell 'Red Hot Hockey' game on MSG Saturday night

MSG Network will televise the third edition of the Red Hot Hockey game between Cornell and Boston University at 8 p.m. Saturday from Madison Square Garden.

It's the first time MSG has televised the game. Bill Pidto, a 1987 graduate of Cornell and former ESPN anchor, will call the play-by-play. Bill Jaffe is the analyst. MSG will have the BU perspective from Paul Ryan, a junior who is the radio play-by-play voice the university's radio station, during the first intermission.

"We're excited to bring our audience Red Hot Hockey, featuring two of college hockey's premiere programs, for the first time," Dan Ronayne, executive vice president and general manager, MSG Networks, said in a statement. "MSG Networks telecasts more hockey than any network in the country, so it's a great opportunity and a natural fit to add one of the year's most anticipated collegiate hockey events to our programming schedule."
