RPI forward Jerry D'Amigo and Union goalie Keith Kinkaid have been named finalists for ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year, it was announced today.
D'Amigo, who helped Team USA win a gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championships in January, was the second-leading rookie scorer in league play, behind teammate Brandon Pirri, with seven goals and 17 assists.
Kinkaid posted a 10-4-2 ECACH record with a 2.54 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. He was named to the ECACH All-Conference Third Team, and was a two-time winner of ECACH goalie of the week, as well as a two-time winner of the league's rookie of the week.
The third finalist is Harvard forward Louis Leblanc.
