CBS gets 46.4 rating for Super Bowl XLIV

CBS just announced it earned a 46.4 rating and a 68 share for last night's Super Bowl XLIV, won by the New Orleans Saints over the Indianapolis Colts.

It's the highest rating in 23 years, when CBS got a 47.8/68 for the New York Giants' victory in Super Bowl XXI.

The 46.4/68 is up 10 percent from last year's 42.1/65 for NBC's coverage of the Arizona Cardinals-Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl.

The rating peaked between 9:30-9:45, when CBS got a 50.6/71.
