It's a beautiful Wednesday night here in the office!
Chase Utley hits two homers, and Cliff Lee goes the distance as my Phillies take care of CC Sabathia and the Yankees, 6-1, in Game 1 of the World Series.
It was just an incredible performance. The only thing missing was the whining of Yankees shills John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman. I can only imagine what excuses they were making for the Yankees. WTMM-FM (104.5) was carrying the ESPN Radio feed.
Somewhere in heaven, Harry Kalas is singing "High Hopes."
Game 2 is Thursday night. High Hopes, Baby!!!
