ValleyCats' broadcasts on Internet only
Thursday, June 18, 2009

The Tri-City ValleyCats open their New York-Penn League season Friday night at Oneonta. If you want to listen to their games this year, you will need a computer. (For a video report on this, click HERE.)

All of the 'Cats 76 games will be available only on their Web site, www.tcvalleycats.com. The team couldn't come to an agreement with Siena College radio station WVCR-FM (88.3) on a new deal. Ironically, Siena women's basketball play-by-play announcer Mike Demos will call Tri-City's games this year, replacing Dan Flanagan.

Demos will only do home games. For the road games, the 'Cats will pick up the feed of the opposing team.

I'll have more on this in my Saturday "Behind the Broadcast" column.
