Early morning update on Thursday's Time Warner/MLB Network problem
By Ken Schott
Friday, January 2, 2009
Not all Time Warner Cable subscribers were affected by the problems getting the debut of MLB Network on the air Thursday night.
According to Peter Taubkin, vice-president of government relations and public affairs for the Albany Division of Time Warner Cable, the areas affected were Schenectady, Troy, Queensbury and Saratoga.
"[The] issue was a zoning conflict which temporarily limited the feed to the Albany area," Taubkin wrote in an e-mail this morning.
Service came back on at 10:27 p.m. for Troy residents. It didn't come back on for Schenectady subscribers until nearly 11 p.m.

It wasn't back on as of 7 a.m. this morning in Fonda, just a screen saying "Channel not available".

it's working up here in the north country, I watched Don Larsen's perfect game and tonight they are showing a game from 1975 when Dave Chalk had three singles for the Angels (ok, that's sarcasm and big credits to anyone who actually remembers Dave Chalk)
