WRGB shifts U.S. Open men's final to WCWN
Sunday, September 7, 2008

If you were planning to tune in to WRGB (Ch. 6) to watch Monday’s U.S. Open men’s singles final between Roger Federer and Any Murray at 5 p.m., you will end up seeing a newscast instead of tennis.

During the women’s singles final Sunday night, WRGB announced that the men’s final will be seen on its sister station, WCWN (Ch. 45).

I guess WRGB believes its newscast is more important to its viewers that a championship tennis match.

Bravo Ken,

I said the exact same thing last night. I could not believe Ch 6 was not showing the finals of the U.S. Open.

What a crime! I set up the DVR to channel 6 and got four hours of news and other crap. WGRB makes their cash on the news, despite how cheap they appear to be with the staff.

Show the damn tennis.
