ESPN may care about college hockey
Tuesday, November 4, 2008

A stunning development at ESPN.

While I was watching “Pardon the Interruption” tonight, I noticed on the Bottom Line something strange. It was under the header M HKY and then showed RPI HARVARD 7:00 ET

That is the first time, outside of the Beanpot and NCAA tournaments, that I can recall ESPN’s Bottom Line keeping track of a regular-season men’s college hockey game. I know ESPNU would have it, but the main channel? Never thought I would see that. It recalls a time when CNN’s Headline News would show regular-season college hockey scores.

I’ll have to check out ESPN on Friday to see if it will have more college hockey scores.
