Tuesday night’s NBA Draft Lottery on ESPN drew its the highest rating ever on the cable network.
ESPN earned a 2.1 rating and 2,010,000 household impressions to become the network’s highest-rated and most-viewed NBA Draft Lottery ever. The telecast surpassed last year’s 2.0 rating and 1,858,000 households, the previous high.
Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final between Detroit and Boston got a 4.4 rating, and averaged 4,215,000 households, an increase of 58 percent when compared to the same telecast window (Game 2 of the Western Conference final between Utah and San Antonio – 2,660,000 households) in 2007.
The 4.4 rating was 57 percent increase over last year’s 2.8.
