Saturday, May 10, 2008

There will be local college sports on the radio Sunday.

WRPI-FM (91.5) will broadcast the Liberty League baseball tournament final between RPI and St. Lawrence at 11 a.m. from the University of Rochester. If RPI wins, it will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III tournament. Should St. Lawrence win, the team will play again at 2:30 p.m. for the NCAA berth. Perry Laskaris will call the action.

RPI won twice Friday to advance to the final.

WRUC-FM (89.7) will have the NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse tournament regional final between Union and The College of New Jersey at 1 p.m. from Ewing, N.J. The Dutchwomen earned a 13-12 semifinal win over SUNY-Cortland on Saturday. A Union win over TCNJ will put the team in the final four next weekend in Salem, Va.

Union sports information director Eric McDowell will call the game.
