Pardon me if I brag a little bit, but I must say it....LET’S GO FLYERS!!!!!!

I’m sitting at my desk here at work, and I still haven’t come down from the Flyers’ 6-4 victory over the Montreal Canadiens that clinched the NHL Stanley Cup Eastern Conference semifinal series in five games. It’s incredible! Whatever happens now is just icing on the cake.

After last year’s awful season — the Flyers had the worst record in the league — I figured the Flyers would be better. But to get to the Eastern Conference final? Never in my wildest dreams did I think that would happen.

And now, like the Flyers, I wait for the next opponent. It could be an all-Pennsylvania conference final if the Pittsburgh Penguins oust the New York Rangers in Game 5 in Sunday. That would be a heck of a series.

By the way, that other sound you heard were the cheers from Versus and NBC because, for the first time since 2003, there won’t be a Canadian team in the Cup final. Woe, Canada!

I wonder if I can have the color of my blog page changed to black and orange?
