Union-St. Lawrence pregame thoughts
Saturday, February 23, 2008

Greetings from Messa Rink, where Union plays its final ECAC Hockey home game of the regular season against St. Lawrence. The Dutchmen clinched home ice in the ECACH tournament with Friday's 3-3 tie against Clarkson. We are about 15 minutes away from faceoff.
It is Senior Night. The Dutchmen will honor their five seniors — forwards Sam Bowles, Josh Coyle and Torren Delforte, defenseman Michael Beynon and goalie Justin Mrazek. Mrazek gets the start in goal.
Bowles returns to the lineup after missing the last two games because of an injury suffered last Friday against Cornell. He replaces Jon Lareau.
Forward Jason Shaffer is back in the lineup, replacing Justin Pallos.
Justin Pesony starts in goal for the Saints.
The referee is Dan Murphy. The assistant referees are Bryan Hicks and Dan Taggart.
The game is being televised by Time Warner Cable.
Catch you after the first period.
