— John Phelps will replace Greg Tobben on UAlbany football and men’s basketball broadcasts this season. Phelps makes his debut next Saturday, when the Great Danes open the football season at Massachusetts.

— New York Giants guard David Diehl will begin a segment on Rodger Wyland’s “Big Board Radio Sportstalk” show called “What’s the Diehl?”. The segment will air every Tuesday at 10 a.m. starting Sept. 2.

— With three conflicts with the Jets, WOFX will shift the Mets to two other Clear Channel stations. The Sept. 7 game against the Phillies and the Sept 28 contest against the Marlins will air on WGY-AM (810). The Sept. 22 game against the Cubs will be on WTRY-FM (98.3).
