MacDonald signs with Reading of ECHL

The ECHL’s Reading Royals have signed former RPI and Albany River forward Rat Kirk MacDonald to a contract on Monday.

MacDonald had 14 goals and 23 assists in 43 games with the ECHL’s Florida Everblades last season. He scored the game-winning goal in overtime for the Rats to beat the Philadelphia Phantoms, 1-0, in Game 6 of the first round of the AHL Calder Cup playoffs.

The Royals are affiliated with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
