Ex-Ravens coach Billick joins Fox

By Ken Schott
Monday, April 28, 2008

Former Baltimore Raves coach Brian Billick has joined Fox Sports as an NFL game analyst, the network announced Monday.

Billick coached the Ravens for nine seasons, and won Super Bowl XXXV over the New York Giants in his season season. He had an 80-64 record before getting fired at the end of last season.

Billick will work in a two-man booth on the eight Sundays Fox carries at least seven games. He will also work select Sunday games in a three-man booth, joining an established Fox broadcast team (perhaps Joe Buck and Troy Aikman?).

“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Fox and the outstanding members of the NFL on Fox broadcast team,” Billick said in a press release. “Having spent nearly 30 years coaching football, I look forward to providing analysis from this new vantage point.”

Hopefully, Billick will have a more successful career at Fox than he did 30 years ago, when he appeared on “Match Game PM.” (Yes, I am a big “Match Game” fan).
