It's easy to look at the rosters and tell that Vanderbilt is bigger than Siena, but until you see them on the floor, you can't really appreciate it.
The Commodores casually shot baskets for their entire 40 minutes on the St. Pete Times Forum floor Thursday, and the Saints ran basic drills.
The Commodores' Shan Foster (6-foot-6) and Alex "Red" Gordon (6-0) are the same height as the Saints' Edwin Ubiles and Ronald Moore, but are more muscular.
Looks can be deceiving, though, as Stanford's Robin Lopez found out when he was outplayed by Josh Duell.
Both teams looked loose. Siena head coach Fran McCaffery's four young kids were running all over the floor as the team warmed up, and 10-year-old Connor McCaffery even participated in a shooting drill, making two of four mid-range jumpers.
After over a week of hearing the same questions and the same answers, it's hard to believe that all this buildup is for a game that will last about two hours. Then it'll be over. Maybe.
I'll post my prediction for the game Friday morning. Still undecided.
