The new face of Christian Grey
"50 Shades" of sexy
The role of Christian Grey has been cast, again.
Following Charlie Hunnam's recent decision to turn down the lead role in the film adaptation of the sexy "50 Shades of Grey," the less known (but sexier) Jamie Dornan has been substituted, reports Variety. The switch comes with less than a year before the movie, which will costar Dakota Johnson will as Anastasia Steele, is scheduled to be released.
There were a range of negative reactions to Hunnam being cast and I had my own reservations, even though I haven't read the book. My problems stemmed from the fact he isn't that sexy and isn't much of an actors, which was demonstrated this summer in his starring turn in "Pacific Rim."
Dornan, on the other hand, is a wild card. He is best known to Americans through his brief role in season one of "Once Upon a Time" and is known to Netflix savvy fans through his role as a serial killer on "The Fall."
Before acting, he was a model, which could come in handy in a movie that is supposed to be steamy. If you're skeptical, look below for a an add Dornan filmed more than five years ago.
According to imdb, the attached director is Sam Taylor-Johnson. Not much else is on the movie's imdb page.
