Joe's Crab Shack opening in Latham
You’ve seen the TV commercials, perhaps many times, and now you’ll be able to taste what it’s all about.
Texas-based Joe’s Crab Shack is opening its first restaurant in the Capital Region at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, and there will be a line.
They’re offering free crab for a year to the first 100 guests who show up on opening day at 579 Troy Schenectady Road (where the Dakota Steakhouse was located until just over a year ago).
Joe’s Crab Shack General Manager Gary Tromblee is quoted in a press release as saying, “We look forward to bringing the beach to Latham, with Joe’s deliciious seafood, signature drinks and relaxed atmosphere.”
The Joe’s Crab Shack menu offers a variety of seafood dishes, including Steampots, featuring Dungeness, snow and king crab.
Adult beverages include the Shark Bite, Category 5 Hurricane or take-home Joe’s Mason Jar cocktails.
The new outlet in Latham will accommodate 294 guests who will be served by 140 workers.
