AIDS Council's annual dining-out fundraiser
Wednesday, April 28, 2010

The 7th annual Dining Out for Life fundraiser for the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York takes place on Thursday, April 29, and organizers are promoting the ease with which you can participate.

No need for purchasing tickets, no need to buy a new dress, wear a tie or suffer through a rubber chicken dinner.

Simply dine out on Thursday at one of the participating 45 Capital Region restaurants, which will donate 25 percent of their food sales that day to the AIDS Council.

The goal is to raise $35,000 from the event. Last year, $31,000 was realized.

Restaurants in Albany, Broadalbin, Clifton Park, Glens Falls, Guilderland, Hudson, Latham, Peru, Plattsburgh, Saratoga, Schenectady, Sharon Springs, and Troy are participating in the event. For a complete list of participating restaurants, telephone 434-4686 or click HERE.

Diners will also have a chance to win prizes while dining out, including a trip for two to Las Vegas provided by Yankee Trails World Travel.

Richard Nacy, the AIDS Council’s director of development and marketing, will be serving as the ambassador for the council at Aperitivo Bistro at 426 State St., Schenectady. He will greet diners at the restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
