Trio of Devils on the move
A trio of players were reassigned Tuesday. New Jersey reassigned goalie Maxime Clermont from Albany of the AHL to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. New Jersey also reassigned defenseman Raman Hrabarenka from Elmira to the Albany Devils.
After New Jersey returned goalie Keith Kinkaid to Albany on Sunday, there were three goalies there, and it was only a matter of time before Clermont was reassigned. In his 90 minutes of action in the last week, Clermont was 0-1-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.
Hrabarenka was invited to camp last year and earned himself an AHL contract. As a rookie, he played in 34 games with Albany, posting a goal, four assists and a plus-one rating. In five games with Elmira this season, he has two assists and a plus-three rating.
Left wing Rostislav Olesz cleared waivers Tuesday and also was assigned to Albany. Olesz was drafted seventh overall in the 2004 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. He played 14 games with Rockford of the AHL last season, totaling seven goals, 12 assists and a plus-five. In 10 games with New Jersey this season, he has two assists and a minus-one.
