Clermont sent back to ECHL, Wedgewood to Albany
The New Jersey Devils on Tuesday reassigned goalie Maxime Clermont to Elmira of the ECHL, and they reassigned goalie Scott Wedgewood to Albany of the AHL.
Clermont made one start on his assignment to Albany, taking a 2-1 shootout loss at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday. He stopped 29 of 30 shots before the shootout. With Elmira this season, he is 15-10-5 with a 3.25 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage.
In two games with Albany last season, he was 1-1-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .925 save percentage.
Wedgewood has no AHL starts. This is his first year as a pro, and with Trenton of the ECHL, he is 17-21-5 with a 3.24 GAA and .898 save percentage.
Later in the day, New Jersey recalled right wing Cam Janssen from Albany, where he had played in 14 games, handed out two assists and booked 37 penalty minutes.
