A blog by Don Laible of The Utica Observer-Dispatch says the Calgary Flames will be moving their AHL franchise from Abbotsford to Utica.
Here's the link to the blog:

It also says the deal is for 10 years, which seems a little too long to be believable, but there it is.
Utica has not had a team in the league since the 1992-93 season, when New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur was among the Devils in Utica.
The team will play at Memorial Auditorium, which the blog says is expecting some renovations in preparation for the incoming pro team. Those renovations range from parking to a video board.
