Loktionov headed to Albany

The New Jersey Devils traded a fifth-round pick in the upcoming NHL entry draft for fourth-year pro centerman Andrei Loktionov, and they have assigned him to the Albany Devils.

Loktionov has split his time between the Los Angeles Kings and their AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs. In 59 games with the Kings, he has seven goals and seven assists. In 132 games with the Monarchs, he has 29 goals and 68 assists.

Loktionov also won a Memorial Cup with the Windsor Spitfires in 2009, playing on the same team as New Jersey centerman Adam Henrique and prospect Harry Young, who is transitioning this season from defenseman to left wing.
