AHL All-Rookie Team announced

The Providence Bruins have two players on the AHL All-Rookie Team, which was announced Wednesday afternoon.

Goalie Niklas Svedberg has been outstanding for the Bruins this season, making 45 appearances and showing a record of 34-8-0 with a 2.18 goals-against average and .924 save percentage. He has four shutouts.

The Bruins also have forward Ryan Spooner on the team. In 54 games, he has 14 goals, 37 assists, a plus-10 rating, eight power-play goals and three game-winning goals.

The other forwards on the team are Manchester's Tyler Toffoli (55 gp, 28-20-48, plus-20, 6 PPG, 3 SHG) and Houston's Jason Zucker (53 gp, 24-24-48, minus-5, 12 PPG, 8 GWG). The two defensemen are Oklahoma City's Justin Schultz (34 gp, 18-30-48, plus-8, 7 PPG, 3 GWG) and Norfolk's Sami Vatanen (59 gp, 8-36-44, plus-1, 4 PPG, 2 GWG).

Here's how the Albany Devils' rookies stack up:

Goalies: Maxime Clermont (0-0-1, 0.92 GAA, .967 save percentage); Scott Wedgewood (2-1-0, 3.27 GAA, .889 save percentage).

Defensemen: Stefan Stepanov (1 gp, 0-0-0, minus-1); Raman Hrabarenka (32 gp, 1-4-5, plus-1); Jon Merrill (6 gp, 1-5-6, minus-1); Corbin McPherson (67 gp, 2-5-7, plus-6).

Forwards: Bryan Haczyk (2 gp, 0-1-1, plus-1); Kelly Zajac (14 gp, 2-2-4, plus-2); Reid Boucher (5 gp, -2-5, even plus-minus rating, 2 PPG); David Wohlberg (31 gp, 2-4-6, minus-1); Harri Pesonen (59 gp, 12-14-26, plus-4, 3 PPG, 3 GWG).
