Henrique out 4-6 weeks
After suffering an injury to his thumb in Sunday's game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Albany Devils centerman Adam Henrique will undergo surgery Thursday that will keep him out of competition for four to six weeks.
On Wednesday, Albany Devils general manager Chris Lamoriello said in a news release, “Tomorrow, Adam will undergo a procedure to repair the Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) in his left thumb. As a result, he is expected to miss four to six weeks.”
Henrique had 25 goals and 25 assists as a rookie with Albany two seasons ago. Last season, he played primarily in the NHL with New Jersey and was a finalist for the Calder Trophy with 16 goals and 35 assists in 74 games.
In 16 games with Albany this season, he has five goals and three assists.
