Albany RW Butler named AHL Player of the Week
Albany Devils right wing Bobby Butler has been named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week.
He had six games and an assist in the three games Albany played, including a five-point game on Wednesday in a 6-3 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
He also scored a goal in Friday's 4-3 win at Connecticut and had the team's lone goal in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to Providence.
For the week, he also has a plus-five rating.
Butler is on a six-game point streak with seven goals and three assists. In the last eight games, he has eight of his team-high 10 goals and four of his five assists. He also leads the team in power-play goals (three), and game-winning goals (three).
Butler will receive an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Devils home game. The only one remaining this month is Dec. 28, so it's a safe bet that will be the day.
