Steck encourages constituents to apply for state money
Assemblyman Phil Steck, D-Colonie, wants his constituents to apply for state money.
In his legislative column the freshman state legislator is encouraging people to get some of the sweet sweet Regional Economic Development Council funding.
"During my first legislative term as your Assemblymember, I worked to help Capital Region families and local businesses by supporting a state budget that creates the Market NY Program, to promote NY-based products and foods, assists minority- and women-owned businesses, providing a tax credit for businesses that hire veterans, and phases out a burdensome utility surcharge," Steck wrote.
The Consolidated Funding Application can be found on the state website. Applications are due the afternoon of Aug. 12.
People, businesses or organizations in Schenectady, Niskayuna or Colonie that need help applying for funding can call Steck's office at 518-377-0902 or reach the office via email at SteckP@assembly.state.ny.us.
