Farley loves libraries
Thursday, February 7, 2013
State Sen. Hugh Farley, R-Niskayuna, rose up on the floor of the Senate today to extol the merits of again forming a select committee on libraries.
"If there's anything that is non-partisan in this Senate, it is libraries," he said.
Libraries continue to be a major priority for Farley, who chaired the libraries select committee last year.
A video of his remarks is available below.
"When I first came into the Senate, they said, 'professor, you've got libraries,'" Farley said on the floor. "And I've had it ever since and it has been a labor of love."
The libraries select committee is huge. When it was proposed, nearly every member wanted to be on it.
