Bill Owens taking questions
U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, is holding a telephone town hall tonight.
Constituents won't have to travel across the 16,000 square miles of the district to reach their representative, with Owens accessible with a telephone call. A random sample of residents in the district will be invited to ask a question, but constituents can request to ask a question by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, calling 202-225-4611 or visiting http://owens.house.gov/Contact/TeletownHall.htm.
The event will occur from 7:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
“The best way to represent my constituents in Congress is to hear directly from them about the issues they feel are important,” Owens said in a statement. “Telephone town halls are as informative for me as they are for participants and I encourage all who can participate to join me on the call. I am looking forward to the discussion.”
The evening will also include an update from Owens on the Farm Bill, immigration reform and sequestration.
