Council 82, which represents corrections officers, has a tentative employment agreement with the state.

The deal comes about a year after the executive staff of the union approved a contract, which was then rejected by the members.

This deal includes a wage freeze until 2013, increased health insurance premiums and protection against layoffs. The deal is still subject to approval by the members of the union.

Below is the full agreement reached between the Council 82 Executive Director James Lyman and Gov. Andrew Cuomo:

Council 82 does not represent NYS Correction Officers, it represents NYS Correction Lieutenants. NYSCOPBA represents NYS Correction Officers.

Gerald J Skrocki - Retired NYS Correction Lieutenant
