Shen advances budget

The Shenendehowa School District's Board of Education approved a 2013-2014 budget on Tuesday night.

According to a flyer sent out by the district, the budget represents the lowest tax impact in four years. Resident in the school district can vote on the $156.7 million budget on May 21.

A copy of the flyer, which outlines key points in the budget, is available below.

The budget increases spending by 3.45 percent and increases the true value tax rate by 2.29 percent.

The district was helped in its budget process by an unexpected increase in state aid.
