Anne Rice coming to Saratoga
Novelist Ann Rice will appear in Saratoga Springs on Oct. 17 for a discussion with Joe Donahue.
The evening, which will focus on Rice's latest novel, "The Wolves of Midwinter," will start 7 p.m. in the Saratoga Hilton on Broadway. Rice will also appear with her son, Christopher Rice.
According to a release from NorthShire Bookstore, "Tickets are $30 for one seat and one copy of Rice’s The Wolves of Midwinter, or $37.50 for two seats and one copy of the book." Tickets can be purchased
Rice is known mostly for writing about vampires and Christianity.
"The Wolves of Midwinter is as lush and romantic in detail and atmosphere as it is sleek and steely in storytelling," according to a release. "Anne Rice transports her readers to a grand mansion on the rugged coastline of Northern California, and explores the unearthly education of a transformed Man Wolf. In this complex and emotional tale, Reuben struggles to use his powers as a werewolf to help people in trouble."
