Race course time capsule includes state resolution
Fifty years from now fans at the Saratoga Race Course will dig up a state resolution from Assemblyman James Tedisco.
The Glenville Republican included the resolution, which recognizes the history of the track, in a time capsule that is scheduled to be opened for the 200th anniversary of racing in Saratoga.
"It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of celebrated recreational institutions and to bring such institutions to the attention of the people of this State that it strives to serve; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Saratoga Race Course of Saratoga Springs," reads the resolution from Tedisco.
