Shen graduate debuts late night show

By Lombardo David
Friday, October 25, 2013

The Shenendehow High School student remembered for rapping about his school and appearing on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" recently starred in his own late night show.

Jack Carpenter, who now attends Champlain College, is the star of "Lake Night with Jack Carpenter," which airs on local television in Vermont and is available online. The show follows a traditional late night formula, although it has a larger cast of regular characters and a news segment similar to Weekend Update on "Saturday Night Live."

Watch the first episode below.

I think my favorite line of the night came during a segment where people were asked about their reactions to the shutdown of the federal government. One consequence of the shutdown, according to the lying interviewer was, "We have people stranded on Mars with no chance of rescue."
