Mechanicville restaurant celebrating 75th anniversary
Panza's Restaurant will celebrate its 75th anniversary by giving away free food.
As a thank you to all their loyal customers, the Mechanicville restaurant is inviting people stop by for lunch on Nov. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The free lunch will include familiar specialties like their homemade pizza, pasta, meatballs and sausages.
“On this special milestone for Panza’s Restaurant, we want to express our sincere appreciation to our customers, staff members and suppliers for their continued support,” said Owner and Head Chef Tony Panza in a statement.
“Our family remains committed to the traditions originated by my Grandmother and Grandfather," he added. "We are proud to carry on their legacy and look forward to serving patrons for many years to come.”
Panza's Bakery opened in 1897 with Neapolitan style brick oven baked pizza and secret family recipes. The original Panzas couldn't speak English, so according to a press release, they let their cooking do their talking for them.
The special lunch will include coffee and soft drinks, but will only be available to eat-in customers. Space for the event will be limited.
