Gifts from England find home at City Center
Gifts from England commemorating the Saratoga 150 celebrations will be stationed at the Saratoga Springs City Center.
Two limited-edition prints of racing scenes in Chester, England were received this year from Kay Kent, the director of strategic partnerships at the University of Chester and Chair of the Cheshire Racing Hub, who was given a tour of the city last fall. It was during that visit when she learned of the city's plans to celebrate 150 years since the start of racing in Saratoga Springs, so on her return to England she came up with a gift to send Saratoga Sprins.

Chester and Saratoga Springs are tied together by the fact they have the oldest horse racing tracks in their respective countries, according to a news released from the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Saratoga Springs has long been called home by exercise riders who are formally from the UK, including Chester.
The two prints will be on permanent public display in the city center
According to the release, Saratoga 150 co-chair Charles Wait has indicated he would like to return the gesture for Chester's celebration of 475 years of racing next year. This is just one idea the city is considering for strengthening its ties with Chester.
