Wormuth accused of stealing campaign funds
Things didn't get any better this afternoon for Halfmoon Supervisor Mindy Wormuth.
After facing a felony indictment in federal court, she was arraigned this afternoon in Waterford Town Court on three felony charges and one misdemeanor charge.
Below is the full felony complaint from the state charges.
According to a news release from state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, "Wormuth is charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, all felonies, and with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. All four charges stem from her theft of more than $6,000 from her campaign committee – Friends of Mindy Wormuth – and the filing of a false financial disclosure report with the New York State Board of Elections."
