PBS show features local fairgrounds
GREENWICH — The PBS show "Market Warriors," which has a group of “pickers” trying to outsmart each other at an antique sale, is set at the Washington County Fairgrounds during tonight’s 9 p.m. episode.
“This week our pickers head up the Hudson River to Greenwich to find military objects to sell at auction,” says a promotional description of the show
The fairgrounds is actually in the town of Easton but is not far from Greenwich in Washington County.
The pickers must select and buy an item they believe will sell at a good price at auction. The person with the highest selling item is the winner.
“Which metal makes the most profit?” says a promotional piece on Market Warriors. “Which picker ends up the winner?”
“Will they cash in on treasure or cash out on trash?” asks the show’s host.
