"Sam the Bugler" arrested for DWI
The man affectionately known at the Saratoga Race Course as Sam the Bugler was arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Saratoga Springs police stopped Samuel L. Grossman, 48, of Suffolk County, around 1:30 a.m. on Ballston Avenue, according to a news release. He was arrested on charges that included driving while intoxicated, an A misdemeanor, and two violations, including failure to keep right and speeding.
It's not clear whether Grossman will be performing at the Saratoga Race Course today.
