Bombers Burrito Bar to Saratoga?

Could the next Bombers Burrito Bar open in Saratoga?

That's what owner Matt Baumgartner hinted at in a tweet this afternoon.

UPDATE: Talked to Baumgartner, who said where the new franchise could be located. Read the full story HERE.

The restaurant operation is currently open in Schenectady, Albany and Troy. The Troy location was the most recent to open and was the first franchise, with the spot on King Street proposed during the summer of 2011.

At the time, Baumgartner said there have been a lot of requests for locations all over the Capital Region. “It has sort of been on our mind for a very long time,” Baumgartner said. “Sometimes you need help opening up.”

The recent tweet generated some immediate excitement with Saratoga County District Attorney James A. Murphy III. He tweeted, "Important for Saratogians to know these burritos are AWESOME, but I should get the first one just to make sure."

There is probably a demand for Bombers in Saratoga Springs, with the most recent review of the Bombers in Schenectady calling for an expansion into Saratoga Springs. "We'd be your #1 customer if you came to Saratoga.... I have actually driven from toga to Schenectady just to get your food for lunch," wrote the reviewer.
