Friday the 13th treats at race course
Monday, August 9, 2010
Friday the 13th could be lucky for fans at Saratoga Race Course.
The track takes a Halloween theme Friday with a children's costume contest and parade, trick-or-treating and special dance performances.
Parade participants should meet at the Big Red Spring at 12:15 p.m.; they'll march through the back yard and down the track apron from the top of the stretch to the winner's circle.
Trick-or-treating takes place from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. at the track's historic landmarks such as the Big Red Spring, Jockey Silks Room and the bandstand.
After the second race, dancers will perform a routine to Michael Jackson's hit "Thriller" on the track apron.
