Mont Pleasent is going the way of Vale, I watched the dirtbags creep in for some years and one day it was the point of no return. I stayed almost ten more years trying to fix it. Not gonna happen, get out now while there is still a chance to sell your house. You have been warned, five years from now you will be begging someone to even make you an offer.

Janice Walz, yeah, you mean like Nancy Pelosi when she said you have to pass Obamacare to see what's in it? Lets make immediate changes to our economy and our nation with the off chance that China will do something in 2030, that's not only ridiculous but stupid.

As we see, not one person on the city council contacted me either here or personally. Sad, I guess I was right to be cynical.

Ricki Lewis,

The 1st paragraph was written by Ben Stein but it fits perfectly to your letter. I'm sorry your mother stole your hope and Beleif in everlasting life

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don’t feel threatened. I don’t feel discriminated against. That’s what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn’t bother me a bit when people say, ‘Merry Christmas’ to me. I don’t think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn’t bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu .. If people want a crèche, it’s just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don’t like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don’t think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can’t find it in the Constitution and I don’t like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren’t allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that’s a sign that I’m getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

Billy Graham’s daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her ‘How could God let something like this happen?’ (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, ‘I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?’

In light of recent events… terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr Spock’s son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he’s talking about. And we said OK.

There is more but, you get the point.

The police are running nonstop from call to call. The city needs another 25 cops. Look at the numbers. Schenectady has around 70% of the crime as Albany and 50% of the police.

I watched on liberal NBC and ABC news for three straight day how England surrounded the Tower of England with a sea of poppies to represent the dead in WWI. Not one of those days did I witness the news showing hundreds if not thousands of Muslims in England holding signs that said 'English solders burn in hell" or the "Death to English Soldiers" and there were many others. BTW, they were also burning poppies. Muslims do not care, more than 25% are radical, this is what happens, we move them here under humanitarian grounds and use our laws against us. There is a school in Maine I believe that has a very high Jewish student and teacher population that is canceling the Hebrew high holidays because of a few Muslims. Don't think that Christmas is not next on their list. Stop importing this invasive species of humans. They are like the milfoil in Lage George, once it gets here it strangles and kills what's good, just like any invasive species does.

Agreed and there is a push and a NYS senate Bill in to separate up and down state. It needs to be voted on. There is a petition on Facebook. Just search divide NY and it's there.

Gary Guido, how many people are really unemployed or underemployed, you know the ones working three part time jobs or the ones who quit looking and are on government assistance. You do know that the number of people on food stamps grew from 9 million to 17 million under Obama, right? Also it's easy to say the economy is growing when you are printing money and keeping interest rates at zero percent, wait till The Federal Reserve raises rates to where they should be, people will have sticker shock, people will lose their part time jobs and the economy will tank, you don't thing the democrat controlled Federal Reserve had an idea that Republicans would win the midterm? Then the average man on the street who gets his news from the alphabet stations will blame the republicans for what the democrats put into play and they will sweep 2016 and be able to finish off the destruction of the America I once knew. Good thing your rich, you can support the rest of your family.
